AASS Seminar - The ILIAD EU H2020 Project

Abstract
The ILIAD H2020 project aims to facilitate a transition to automation for distribution centres of all scales, by extending the state of the art in reliability-aware mapping and localisation, spatiotemporal mapping for learning and predicting patterns in the environment, person tracking and mutual communication of intents, integrated coordination and planning, and advanced manipulation. These advances will make it possible to reach the same level of efficiency and automation in traditional warehouses as in today's purpose-built and inflexible automated warehouse solutions. ILIAD started on January 1, 2017. In this short seminar we will present the concept and goals of ILIAD, and discuss the role of AASS in this project.
