Next-generation Minds Exploring Technology in Metals (NextMetals)

The NextMetals project aims to increase the attractiveness of the metals sector—and its role in the green transition—to society, thereby improving the flow of talent into industry and universities. Our ambition is to enhance the sector’s appeal and build a stronger, more engaged community that can help strengthen people’s social participation, sense of inclusion and confidence in a future in which the metals sector contributes to achieving a net-zero society. The project is expected to result in established activities for children in schools, science centres and at other events, raising public awareness of the attractiveness of the metals sector and its scientific challenges.
