Applied Biochemistry, 7.5 Credits

Biochemical methods are instrumental to analysing biological samples with broad applications in forensics, medicine, and biological research. The course focuses on the functions of nucleic acids and proteins and is based on the fundamentals of chemistry, biochemistry and cell biology. It gives a deeper understanding on how biochemistry can be applied to biological processes and provides skills to perform and interpret biochemical analyses .

Prerequisites: University studies in Chemistry and Biology equivalent to 60 Credits including: 22,5 Credits in Chemistry of which 7,5 Credits in Biochemistry and 22,5 Credits in Biologi of which 7,5 Credits in Molecular Biology and Genetics and 15 Credits in Cell Biology (Procaryotic and Eucaryotic).
