About the grant

The Erasmus+ grant is not a full scholarship. It is a contribution to additional costs related to your mobility, which means you are expected to cover part of your expenses with your own funds.

What does the grant include?

The Erasmus+ grant consists of two parts:

  1. Travel Grant
     The travel grant is fixed amount, based on the distance between the sending and receiving institutions, according to the European Commission’s distance band calculator.
    • Brazil: 1,735 EUR
    • Kenya: 1,188 EUR
  2. Living Grant 
    A contribution to help cover your living expenses during your stay. The exact amount is specified in your grant agreement.

Payment Schedule

 The grant is paid to a Paygoo card, which can be used abroad. Please note that your accommodation rent will be deducted from your first payment.

Students

The grant is paid in two instalments:

  • 90% after arrival and completion of required documents
  • 10% after the mobility, once all obligations are fulfilled

Staff (Teachers)

  • 100% of the grant is paid after the arrival

Important Information

The grant is a financial contribution, not full coverage of all expenses. You are responsible for any additional costs not covered by the grant.

After Your Mobility

To receive the final payment (students), you must:

  • Submit all required documents
  • Complete the EU survey

You will receive detailed instructions from the International Office before and during your mobility.
