Academic calendar
The academic year at Örebro University begins in late August and concludes in early June. It is divided into two semesters, each lasting 20 weeks: the autumn semester and the spring semester. The autumn semester runs from the end of August to mid-January of the following year and with no break in between the spring semester starts in mid-January and ends in early June.
Swedish Public Holidays and Breaks
There is no official break during the semesters, except for public holidays. However, in practice, there is usually a break in classes over the Christmas/New Years period. The exact dates are determined by each course responsible, so please check with your teacher to confirm what applies to you.
