Academic Celebration
Örebro University’s Academic Celebration is held each year in February. The ceremony includes the conferment of doctoral degrees, the inauguration of professors, and the awarding of various awards. The 2026 Academic Celebration will take place on Saturday, 7 February. Invitations to doctoral candidates and professorial candidates are sent out at year’s end.

It was a day of surprises at Örebro University. Two teachers received the good news mid-lecture: you are the winner of the Excellent Teaching Award. “It’s the ultimate prize,” says award winner Sara Frödén.
