Örebro University's overall goal is to use AI in a way that strengthens the quality, relevance and sustainability of its activities in the long term. Digital systems with AI will contribute to the development of education and research, as well as to efficient and appropriate support processes. This requires strong competence for individual employees as well as for the University as a whole, which needs to be gradually developed
The University shall also contribute to the development of knowledge, methods and technical solutions in AI through research, education and collaboration, including competence development in relation to AI in society. In this way, the University contributes to a responsible and knowledge-based use of AI throughout society. The University has a special responsibility to equip students for a working life and society in which AI is an integral part. This means active work to have relevant education, while all education programs gradually need to develop students' ability to understand, evaluate and use AI in a responsible and critical way.
