Salary payments

Örebro University uses the bank Danske bank for salary payments. Depending on what kind of account you have, there are different routines for your payment.

Guidance to opening a Swedish bank account

Örebro University’s paying bank is Danske Bank. You need to submit your bank account information on Danske Bank’s website to deposit your salary into your bank account.

When you start your employment, please send a provisional tax assessment card (Skattesedel) to HR. This can be obtained from the Tax Agency.

If you move here from another country, make sure to notify HR when you get a Swedish address. This is to avoid technical issues with your salary payments.

If you are here for more than a year, you should register in the Swedish population register. When you do, you will get a Swedish personal identity number.

It is important that you notify Human Resources when you get your personal identity number.
