About Daniela Andrén

Daniela Andrén is an Associate Professor of Economics at Örebro University School of Business, Örebro, Sweden. Currently, her research focuses on normative ethics of algorithms and  individual and societal well-being from the perspective of inequality and shaping the future of work , framed within the contexts of democracy, trust, economic inequality, globalization, global warming, artificial intelligence (AI), and limited resources. 

Daniela has developed, coordinated, and taught several courses in econometrics, applied econometrics, and applied economics, including Economics Research and Communication, Causal Inference for Economists, Normative Ethics in Informatics, and Health Economics. She is also involved in educational projects aimed at developing and implementing teaching methods that enhance students' learning outcomes and overall well-being, both with and without digitalization and AI.

2024/25: during periods of the academic year engaging in research collaboration with Central European University in Vienna and Central European Labour Studies Institute (CELSI) in Bratislava.

Teaching 2025/2026

Causal Inference for Economists, Economics Research and Communication; Normative Ethics for Informatics (guest lectures), and thesis supervision in economics and financial economics at bachelor's and master's levels.
