About Jazmin Soto
Jazmin Soto Rodriguez is a doctoral student in psychology at Örebro University. Within the project Young People’s Sleep in a Digital World, she studies how sleep and technology use influence one another in everyday life.
Education and Background
Jazmin holds a degree in Clinical Psychology from Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador and a Master’s degree in Health Psychology from Umeå University, where she studied as a Swedish Institute Scholar. She has experience in research, mental health education, and science communication and is particularly interested in making psychological research accessible and useful outside academia.
Affiliations
She is a member of the Sleep Health research group and is affiliated with the Center for Health and Medical Psychology (CHAMP) and the Center for Lifespan Developmental Research (LEADER). She is also a member of the Swedish Behavioural Medicine Association (Svensk beteendemedicinsk förening, SBF).
Research Interests
Her research interests focus on sleep, digital technology use, and mental health among children, adolescents, and young adults. She is also interested in fatigue, emotion regulation, and methods that capture people’s experiences over time.
