The increasing use of mobile technologies entails a need to integrate such devices in many operations. This project studies the use of L(C)MS, Learning (Content) Management Systems, with the perspective of understanding how to integrate mobile learning and mobile phone use into LMS/LCMS. The project diagnoses communication and collaboration problems, and access-to-content problems that learners have with mobile learning technologies and explores emerging practices relating to the use of such technologies for the purpose of understanding how to enhance different capabilities for rich social interactions and adopt suitable applications that match the needs of learners and the digital world. The project compares access to LMS/LCMS using desktop computers and mobile phones in both developed and developing countries, that is, Sweden and Uganda.
