National Congress for Latvian Association of Occupational Therapists
Dr. Helen Lindner was invited by the Latvian Association of Occupational Therapists to be the guest speaker of their national virtual conference on 11th February 2023.
In August 2022, Dr. Helen Lindner presented her clinical research about cognitive training using gaze-controlled video games for individuals with profound intellectual and multiple disabilities. The president of Latvian Association of Occupational Therapists saw that presentation in August 2022, and hence asked Dr. Lindner to share her experience using eye tracking technologies in daily clinical practice and inspire occupational therapists in Lativa.
In Latvia, eye-gaze technical devices have just been included in the government supported technical devices but the practical ways of using eye tracking devices are still new for many occupational therapy practitioners.
