Research subject

The project aims to develop and improve methods to reduce ischemia-reperfusion injuries in both the use of resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta (REBOA) and in other ischemic organ injuries related to surgery and to develop strategies to balance vascular occlusion time with the subsequent ischemic injury from a circulatory, metabolic and inflammatory perspective. The project includes animal experimental models with physiological, pharmacological, metabolic and inflammatory measurement methods.
