Swedish Social Enterprise Ecosystem, Pathways to Impact (SWEEP)
About this project
Project information
Swedish Social Enterprise Ecosystem, Pathways to Impact (SWEEP) aims to deepen the understanding of how the Swedish ecosystem for social innovation and social enterprises functions in practice. The study serves as a qualitative follow-up to the Swedish country report within the European Social Enterprise Monitor (ESEM) and seeks to analyze how support actors perceive the current system, the needs they identify, and the innovations emerging within the ecosystem.
Through interviews and an interactive "ecosystem meeting," stakeholders have shared their experiences and analyses of how the support system actually operates in practice. The analysis is guided by two interrelated research questions: Which factors contribute to the success of ecosystem support for social enterprises in Sweden and which ecosystem innovations are emerging or being tested to support social enterprises? This follow-up thus contributes qualitative knowledge regarding the dynamics of the support system.
