Information Retrieval doctoral course

Two female students in front of a computer screen at the University Library are looking intently down at notes.

Information Retrieval is primarily aimed at doctoral students at Örebro University. During the course you learn how to search comprehensively for research relevant to your area.

Information Retrieval gives you two credits and this autumn semester it is offered in Swedish. The course includes mandatory attendance of the sessions, scheduled for the 4 November (whole day) and the 1 December (morning), joint work, and own studies. Sessions take place on campus at the Main Library. (Unfortunately no Zoom or hybrid options are available this semester.)

The course further includes a seminar with your academic liaison librarian, during which you will receive assistance in starting your own searches as well as tailor-made advice for your subject area.

The 18 available places are filled after the application deadline. A minimum of eight participants are required for the course to be offered.

Application has now closed.
