Research subject

Despite improvements in medical science and public health, mortality and morbidity from respiratory tract infection (RTI) are still common world wide. The research group conduct translational research to identify host-pathogen mechanisms, treat and prevent respiratory tract infections, both bacterial and viral RTI. Study results are incorporated in Swedish management guidelines for treatment for RTI and benefits RTI patients and society.
