Research subject

The overall aim of this project is to study patients and parents experiences from healthcare interventions, the result of early fitting of myoelectric prosthesis, and, the life situation of the patients as adults.

The project consists of four studies:

Study I: Parent’s experiences of their role in decision-making and treatment in children with congenital limb deficiency.

Study II: Long-term results of early myoelectric prosthesis fittings- A prospective case-control study.

Study III: Adolescents with congenital limb reduction deficiency; Experiences of rehabilitation services and support.

Study IV: Life situation of adults with congenital limb reduction deficiency in Sweden.
