Abstract
I will introduce the basic ideas behind the emotion simulation architecture WASABI and show, how it was tried and tested in virtual human and social robotics research over the last 15 years. My second topic will be Android Science, in which very human-like robots, so-called androids, put humans to the test. How long can they be fooled to mistake the android for a human? How does this depend on the human's cultural background, the concrete (interaction) design of an android robot, and the situational context it is embedded into? Lastly, I will present latest work in progress on the creation of our own android to arrive from Japan at Stuttgart Media University in October 2022.
