Immunology, 7.5 Credits

The course provides an overview of the basic principles of immunology with regards to both innate and acquired immunity. It includes how the immune system is induced and regulated, and how different components of the immune system work together to defend the body against pathogens. How immune dysfunction is associated with diseases will also be covered. The practical exercises will acquaint students with current immunological methods.
