Sport Science, Glocal Sport Management in Practice, 7.5 Credits

The course aims to give you knowledge about how global changes affect and are managed by sports organizations at the local level. In the first part of the course, Robertson's (1995) glocalization theory is introduced. In the second part of the course, global challenges (for example migration, climate change, aging population and unexpected crises such as Covid19) are dealt with and how they affect sports on a general level. The focus is then on how local sports organizations in different national contexts deal with these challenges.
