Structural Engineering for Buildings IV, 7.5 Credits
The course introduces students to structural design of buildings in timber.
Focus is on structural calculations.
The following topics are covered:
• Material properties
• Different products as for example Glulam and Cross Laminated Timber
• Structural design of simple elements
• Environmental aspects of timber construction
• The structural engineers role in the projects
