Student insurance

During school hours and during direct transport to and from the university, students at state higher education institutions are insured through Kammarkollegiet.

School hours implies all time within the university's rooms and area, with the exception of times when the stay is recreational and organised by someone other than the university, as well as all other time when the student takes part in activities organised by the university (for example practice periods and placement studies).

The insurance covers personal injuries acquired through accident and in certain cases through illness by infection. Compensation is offered for medical care, medicines, physiotherapy, medical transport and other costs. You can also receive compensation for pain and suffering. If your injury leads to permanent damage (medical disability) the insurance covers income loss and disfigurement, and costs and other inconveniences.
