Dance for Health: What It Is, Why It Works and How to Get Involved

Dance for Health is a research-based and cost-effective intervention designed to strengthen mental well-being among young people. Today, the method is used as a complement to existing support within school health services and healthcare and has been developed, implemented, and disseminated in practice for more than 12 years.
Stress, anxiety, low mood, and physical symptoms such as headaches and stomach aches are common among young people and can affect their health, everyday life, and school attendance. There is a growing need for accessible, health-promoting interventions that can complement existing support and healthcare.
