Smarter patient flows in hearing care

How can hearing care serve more patients with a more efficiant use of healthcare resources? This seminar explores how new ways of working, automated hearing assessment and the more efficiant workflow can serve more patients without increasing the workload for clinical staff.

About the seminar
Hearing care is facing increasing demand while access to qualified staff remains limited. One way to address this challenge is to organise clinical work so that several patients can be managed in parallel and parts of the hearing assessment can be performed automatically.
The seminar presents the CAR approach (Collaborative Audiologic Reception) and CAR WFS, a new workflow system developed for audiology clinics. The system supports real-time coordination of patients, staff, rooms and clinical tasks, while providing staff with a shared visual overview of patient flow on handheld devices.
The seminar will present experiences from the development and clinical use of the system and discuss how this approach could contribute to more efficient use of resources, shorter waiting times and new ways of organising hearing care.
