About Linnéa Engman
Linnéa Engman is a licensed psychologist and holds a PhD in psychology. She is affiliated with the research environment Center for Medical and Health Psychology (CHAMP). She obtained her degree in psychology in 2015 and completed her PhD in 2021 with a thesis on the psychological aspects of vulvodynia.
Linnéa’s research focuses on pain psychology as well as sexual and reproductive health, with particular emphasis on conditions such as vulvodynia and endometriosis. Her work addresses psychological mechanisms influencing pain experience, sexual function, and quality of life, as well as how clinical care and treatment approaches can be improved.
Her research is conducted in collaboration with both national and international partners and is interdisciplinary in nature, with links to both medical and behavioural sciences. A central aim is to contribute to increased knowledge and improved clinical practice in the field.
