About this project
In Sweden the Public Employment Service and the municipal social services share responsibility for supporting people far from the labour market. This calls for collaboration. In this project the conversion of national regulation about collaboration to local practice is studied, on organizational as well as individual official level. Usually collaboration in the Swedish welfare sector is organized as temporary projects. In this project however, we study – integrative collaboration - i.e. ongoing collaboration between officials in daily work. Inter-organizational collaboration, especially the integrative variant, is still quite unexplored scientifically. Via a multi-level approach and a comparison between three case studies of municipalities of different size and characteristics, we analyze local collaboration practice in the context of different institutional and organizational conditions.
