Research group

Pedagogical processes of improvement and sustainability

About this group

The research group studies pedagogical improvement processes in various pedagogical contexts such as school and sports. In a time of constant change, where we face complex, existential, and difficult (societal) problems, there is an increasing need for joint learning and improvement work that is sustainable. This applies to individuals, groups, organizations, and society as a whole. The research group is therefore interested in, among other things, how educational improvement processes can be understood, made sustainable and promote sustainable development. The research group explores questions relating to school and teaching improvement, peer learning, educational leadership, youth participation and sustainability education. Theoretically, the group is influenced by pragmatism, agonism and complexity thinking. Currently, a practice-based research project is conducted that investigates collegial learning and pedagogical leadership in preschools and schools.
