Which firms employs the unemployed?

There is extensive research on which firms grow and generate new jobs. However, with a few exceptions, it has not been possible to study if the growing firms hire people already having a job, or people that are unemployed. The answer on this question is of decisive importance for the effect on total employment. The analysis requires so-called matched employer-employee data, which just exist in a few countries, for instance in Sweden. The purpose of this project is to examine which firms that hire unemployed.
