About this project
Within neonatal care, there is a challenge to ensure that a positive parent-infant relationship is developed. Irrespective of whether the infant is born preterm or at term, parents often face surreal, chaotic and deeply distressing situations in the neonatal unit. This project aims at describing how emotional support could be delivered and what the content of support could comprise. This will be explored through interviews and surveys and form the foundation for a support-intervention that will be tested and evaluated.
