Human-animal interactions from a psychological perspective
About this project
Project information
Psychological research has a long history of studying social interaction between humans. This project aims to extend that research to studying social interaction between humans and other animals. Questions asked in the project include what positive effects social interaction with other animals can have on our well-being (e.g., caring for a horse) and how we experience killing animals (e.g., in slaughter or hunting). Outcomes from the project will be able to expand and nuance existing psychological knowledge about social interaction.
