Shaping Military Professional Knowledge - A Pilot Study on Formal Knowledge Transfer within the Swedish Armed Forces

The project explores how formal knowledge transfer occurs in military training and how it shapes professional competence, identity, and action. Focusing on the Swedish Armed Forces’ basic soldier training and occupational training, it examines how different educational designs foster distinct forms of military expertise. Based on field observations and interviews at the F7 air base, the study aims to enhance understanding of how formal knowledge transfer is organized and governed within the Armed Forces.
