The placental proteome in maternal diabetes mellitus during pregnancy

Placental samples identified in the large placenta sample collection at Örebro University Hospital exposed to maternal diabetes mellitus will be examined for proteome expression in comparison with matched control samples. We aim to increase our knowledge of mechanisms behind the impact maternal diabetes mellitus has on the placenta and the developing fetus.
