About the Project
The FAIRTAX project addresses the concept of fairness in taxation within an increasingly digitalised society. The research explores the relationship between contemporary tax systems and fairness as a multidimensional concept, with particular emphasis on how digital transformation impacts both substantive and procedural dimensions of taxation. The project aims to map the meaning of fairness as a general principle of tax law and develop concrete reform proposals for a fairer tax framework adapted to the modern digital environment.
Principal Investigator: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Stjepan Gad?o, University of Rijeka, Faculty of Law, and affiliated researcher Örebro University.
