Rhetorical actio: the power of body language
About this project
Project information
Knowledge of how we use the body and how we act in different arenas is necessary to a good speaker. Possessing this knowledge, for verbal as well as bodily expressions, makes it possible to establish trustworthiness and strengthen ethos. This brings to fore the question on what constitutes a trustworthy body language. In her research, Marie Gelang not only seeks to map meaningful body language but also deals with voice, articulation and the context of articulation.
