Research subject

The overall aim of the study is to investigate if a sealed therapeutic shoe can heal foot ulcers at least as effectively as cast, but with less negative side-effects during the treatment period, better long-term effects and to a lower cost. This will be investigated by randomizing people with diabetic foot ulcers to use a sealed therapeutic shoe or cast. The participants will be followed during ulcer healing and 12 months after the ulcer has healed.
