Research subject

Vaginal and vulvar cancer are rare gynaecological malignancies. In Sweden, about 200 women are affected each year. Due to the low number of cases, few research studies are conducted and we need more research to better understand and treat these diseases.

The aim of the study is to study vaginal- and vulvar cancer and thereby increase the knowledge on the disease biology and to find markers that could predict the progress of disease to be able to improve diagnosis and treatment.
