Radioactivity

Rules of conduct and local radiation protection rules must be in place for all work with radioactive material and waste. All such work must be coordinated with the Radiation Protection Manager, Cecilia Lagerström. Requirements for handling radioactive waste are set out in SSMFS 2018:1. Waste must be collected in a hazardous waste box marked with a signature, the date and details of the contents and placed in a designated radioactive decay room.  All solid and liquid radioactive waste disposed of by the activity must be documented.
