The EMBRACE Lab (Exploring Mind-Body Relationships And Contextual-bEhavioural interventions in illness) develops multidisciplinary research on clinical/health psychology. We focus on contextual behavioural science (or third-wave Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness, compassion-based interventions) and behavioral medicine topics, in particular psycho-gastroenterology and psycho-oncology. We are dedicated to research related to the determinants of psychological and physical health/illness, and to the development and evaluation of face-to-face and digital interventions aiming to improve quality of life, psychosocial functioning, intensity and interference of physical symptoms, among other health outcomes.
