Research subject
This research project explores why people fail to acknowledge rape despite a clear lack of sexual consent. Using surveys, experiments, and qualitative analysis, it examines how gender-based violence, victim blaming, online misogyny, and social norms shape perceptions of sexual violence. The project also studies manosphere communities to understand digital radicalisation around sex and gender. Results will inform evidence-based, online prevention interventions to improve rape acknowledgement, challenge harmful beliefs, and support victims.
