There is a growing societal interest in children's human rights, which is reflected in more explicit formulations within the Education Act and national curricula. Academic research has increasingly focused on how children's human rights are addressed in schools and preschools. However, significant gaps remain in our understanding of how these rights are managed within school-age educare centres. Several factors influence how children's human rights are handled in this context, including the curriculum, group composition, group size, and the physical environment. Another crucial factor is the pedagogical staff’s perceptions of the school-age educare centre’s mission in relation to this area. This project focuses on how pedagogical staff in school-age educare centres perceive children's human rights in relation to their professional practice.
