In this project, we are evaluating the implementation and the effects of the working method called Safe Homes – Without Violence in the police Region of Bergslagen. This police method is based on the American model Intimate Partner Violence Intervention (IPVI), which in turn is based on focused deterrence. By working in collaboration with other authorities and through targeted, proactive outreach to individuals who have used violence in close relationships, the aim is to reduce such violence.

The research group FACTS is following and evaluating the method during the period of 2025–2027.
