The overall purpose of the project was to describe bio-psycho-social factors importance for health in adults with Usher syndrome. More specific the aim was to study the importance of work for persons with Usher syndrome as well as strategies for managing everyday situations.

The project encompassed both quantitative and qualitative design and is a doctoral project within the Swedish Institute for disability research (SIDR). The empirical data has been collected through questionnaires and interviews both individual and in focus groups.
