Bibliometrics – publishing patterns and statistics

A colourful map of Örebro university's research compared to other universities in Sweden.

The University Library offers support in the form of bibliometric analyses and summaries. The service is primarily intended for managers, leadership teams, and research groups in connection with evaluations or research applications, and only for individual researchers when time permits.

During application processes and evaluations, the library can provide data and bibliometric analyses of your previous and current research. Through publication analyses, we can highlight publication patterns — for example, across different subject areas or publication channels — and illustrate national and international collaborations as well as the impact of your research. These analyses can be valuable for showcasing your previous research results, as well as your established networks and collaborations, in an application, or for evaluating a completed or ongoing research project.

Here are a few examples of what we can do:

  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of citations, collaborations, and publication channels based on data from Web of Science.
  • Perform simpler analyses using data from Scopus.
  • Provide summaries of registered publications from the DiVA publication database.
