Jasmijn van der Most will present her thesis ”Using Europe for Independence: Exploring Sessesionist Party Strategies in the European Parliament”, which she defended in June 15, 2026, Stockholm University.

Title: Blueprints of Coercion: Typologizing the Digital Autocracy (working thesis title)
Thomas Hayes presents his ongoing PHD Thesis work, with a short Kappa and thesis plan, 1 published article, and 2 finished articles to be submitted/resubmitted to journals that form the core of a 4-article thesis, with 1 final article yet to be started and produced after the mid-seminar. (There will also be 3 side articles for optional reading: 1 published, 2 in submission. These could be in the thesis depending on comments and assessments of the viability of the thesis plan.)

Ann-Catrin Kristianssen will present a research paper in progress, which will be distributed well before the meeting date.

Friederike Küchler will present a conference paper with the title: “We don’t call it a retreat, we call it the dismantling of an allotment area.” - Climate justice and technocratic decision-making – a case study of Axeltofta. Friederike wants feedback on how to develop the paper into a journal article.
