Örebro universitet ökar närvaron av väktare på Campus Örebro under kvällar och nätter. Bakgrunden är den senaste tidens överfall i och i närheten av campusområdet.
På kort tid har flera personer blivit oprovocerat överfallna och misshandlade i anslutning till Campus Örebro. Det har skapat oro bland studenter och personal.
- Vi tar det här på största allvar och har löpande kontakt med polisen och studentkåren. Genom att förstärka närvaron av väktare vill vi öka tryggheten för dem som känner sig oroliga, säger Erik Nilsson, säkerhetschef på Örebro universitet.

Universitetsledningen, polisen och Örebro Studentkår har haft flera möten för att diskutera situationen och vad man kan göra för att öka säkerheten.
- Det mest effektiva är att vara aktsam själv, säger kommunikationschef Mats Nylén vid Örebropolisen. Om du känner dig otrygg ta sällskap av vänner, ta hand om varandra och rör dig inte ensam på platser där du känner dig otrygg.

Increased security on Campus Örebro
Örebro University is stepping up the presence of security guards on Campus Örebro in the evenings and at night as a result of the recent attacks that have taken place on and close to campus.

In a short time there have been several unprovoked attacks and cases of assault in connection to Campus Örebro. This has caused worry among students as well as staff.
- We are taking this very seriously and there is ongoing contact with the police and the student union. By stepping up the presence of security guards we want to help those who are worried to feel more safe and secure, says Erik Nilsson, head of security at Örebro University.
The university executive team, the police and Örebro Student Union have had several meetings to discuss the situation and what can be done to raise security.
- What is most effective is really to be careful, says Mats Nylén, head of communication at the Police Department in Örebro. If you do not feel safe, then go with friends, look out for each other and do not walk or cycle alone in locations where you do not feel safe.
