About Jessica Jonsson
Jessica Jonsson is Asst. Professor of Law at Örebro University, with a main research interest in international law (ICL, HRL, IHL and PIL).
Her research encompasses migration, transitional justice, child rights and humanitarian protection, drawing on many years of experience from work with the UN, the EU, and INGOs in diverse contexts, including Africa.
Dr. Jonsson serves as a seconded advisor and expert with the Council of Europe and consults for various universities and institutions. She is a former Director of Studies of the Child Rights Academy, acting program responsible, steering group Barnrättsdagarna and Barnrättstorget, Almedalen together with the Children's Ombudsman and the Allmänna Barnhuset Foundation. She is an editor and editorial board member with Springer Journals and has edited and published several scholarly books and collections on children’s rights and international justice, including titles with Routledge and Thomson Reuters.
