Research environments

SOFIA stands for Social and Physical Development, Interventions and Adaptation. It is a prospective longitudinal study of appr. 2000 children starting at age 3-5. Started in 2010 and has since then annually assessed this sample. Main focus is on understanding norm breaking criminal behavior; its developmental trajectories and the risk and protective factors of the various trajectories. Many other aspects of human development are also studied.

The project was funded by the Swedish Research Council for the period 1 January 2008 until 19 October 2012.
