Readiness for disasters (RESA) project
About this project
Project information
Although disasters have affected human populations for centuries, there is a lack of knowledge regarding how healthcare personnel can be prepared to work in such situations. There is a need for a better understanding of how mental preparation among healthcare personnel develops and what it entails. This project will employ various pedagogical methods to facilitate exploration, with a focus on the mental preparation of healthcare personnel for work during crises and disasters. The project is expected to generate insights into which teaching methods strengthen mental preparation and readiness, thereby creating the conditions to prepare both students and practicing healthcare professionals within academic, regional, and municipal settings.
