Om Håkan Karlsson Faronius

My research is on Neurosymbolic AI and the mathematical foundations of this topic. I am very interested in probabilistic circuits, reasoning shortcuts and uncertainty in neurosymbolic AI.

I have a master's degree in applied mathematics from Uppsala university, where I also got my bachelor's degree in mathematics. It was from applied mathematics that my interest in AI arose and how to use AI in applied mathematics. My master's degree thesis is called "Solving Partial Differential Equations with Neural Networks" and can be found here:

My interests in mathematics span a large number of topics, but one of my main interests is analyzing complex systems and the phenomenon of emergence in such systems. I am also very interested in dynamical systems and theoretical computer science.
