Threat Images and Identity

In this project a team of researchers from Örebro University and the National Defense College in Stockholm explored risk and threat discourses in different contexts including media and how polarisation and conflicts can be escalated or de-escalated by interrelated discursive constructions of risks, threats and identities. The volume Nohrstedt (ed.) Communicating Risks – Towards the Threat Society? (Nordicom 2010) presents the findings in ten articles.
